Live streaming and temporary closure – March 2020
Dear FYS community
Please take the time to read below, three important points:
1) Reduced schedule this week
2) Streaming classes starting this week
3) Temporary closure
We’ve spent the weekend agonising over what to do with the studio in light of current events. We’ve had to think about our obligation to all our teachers whose livelihoods depend on teaching. And we’re thought long and hard about how important the yoga studio has been to many people, how it is a refuge for so many, particularly in worrying times like these. But ultimately our responsibility to the wider public has to be our overriding consideration, which is why we’ve taken the hard decision to close the studio for two weeks starting from Sunday. The last public class will be 9am with Holly.
This week you will see a reduced schedule online, so please check momoyoga before booking and there will be reduced capacity in the classes to allow for space between mats. You will also see we will be live streaming some classes this week. See more below.
In two week’s time we imagine we’ll all have a better sense of how the NHS is coping with the British government’s approach to the virus. If the virus hasn’t entered into a wildly exponential stage of transmission and the health service seems to be coping we’ll think about starting a restricted timetable of limited number classes, but the reality is that it might be quite a while before we open again.
All class passes will have expiry dates extended for the time
In the meantime, we will be offering some live stream classes this week and ongoing via Zoom, the first class will be Tues 9.30am and this will be a trial so free to attend via zoom. Please take a look at the social media posts re live streamed classes for more details on the schedule this week
We would so appreciate it if you are able to continue your packs and memberships and live stream with us during this time to help your teachers and ensure we have a yoga studio to come back to
However if you are being financially hit hard in these times, we understand, please check out Keren’s free podcast – Yoga with Keren – on iTunes and SoundCloud

I am really interested in continuing my restorative class on Sunday (and others now I’m at home working). However, I’m a complete technophobe. How on earth I will set work online for my students will be interesting. Anyway, an idiot’s guide on how to access them would be amazing. Thank you and stay safe.
