Goodbye to FALMOUTH YOGA SPACE and Hello to a fresh start
A Goodbye to FALMOUTH YOGA SPACE, and a Beautiful New Beginning
Last night I taught my final class at Kula Yoga Studio, which will always be Falmouth Yoga Space in my heart.
Even writing that feels strange.
For those of you who’ve been part of the journey, you’ll know that Falmouth Yoga Space has been more than just a place to practise. It has been a constant. A rhythm. A familiar room where so many of us have rolled out our mats, taken a breath, and just been. It’s saved my sanity many times over the years and I have so many memories of teacher training, hilarious moments, banging playlists, good friends, new friends and more.
After everyone had left last night, I stayed behind for a moment on my own.
I took it all in. The quiet. The echoes of movement and laughter and shared energy that have filled that space for years. I said a quiet thank you to the room, to the walls, to everything it has held for all of us.
And yes, I felt sad.
Because endings are always a little tender.
Falmouth Yoga Space was a home to so many incredible teachers and students, and together we created something really special. But as we’ve been reminded recently, spaces don’t last forever even the most loved ones can come to a close.
And here’s the thing I kept coming back to as I stood there…
It was never just about the space.
It’s about the people.
The conversations before class. The shared laughter. The collective exhale at the end of a long day. The way a group of individuals slowly becomes a community – not because of four walls, but because of connection.
That doesn’t disappear.
It moves.
And that’s exactly what we’re doing.
From April, I’m genuinely so excited to be continuing classes just a stone’s throw away, alongside some of the wonderful teachers you already know and love. We’re stepping into a new space that feels like a fresh breath in itself, light, airy, filled with natural energy and, perhaps most beautifully, sea views.
It feels like a beginning.
A soft, spacious, hopeful beginning.
There’s something really special about this next chapter. It’s not about replacing what was, because nothing ever truly replaces those moments. Instead, it’s about carrying everything we’ve built forward and letting it evolve.
Because community isn’t tied to a building.
It’s something we create together, wherever we land.
And I cannot wait to keep creating that with you.
