Level 1 300 hour yoga teacher training in Cornwall
Our next level 1 300hr yoga teacher training course will begin in APRIL 2027
Our 2027 level 1 course will run from April 2027 for 10 months (with a break in August). Please see below for more information and dates. Applications are now open, please contact us for more information.
Primarily taught by Keren Cooksey with Amanda Brown (with combined teacher experience of over 55 years, and teacher training for over a decade), our 300 hour vinyasa course is devoted to excellence, exploration, creativity and community.
We have designed this course for those who want to embark on the journey of becoming a teacher or for existing teachers who want to enhance their skills and delve deeper into the rich world of tantric vinyasa yoga. In addition, each year we evolve the course and you will see below that new components include – cultural appropriation and honouring the roots of yoga, body image and yoga, trauma informed classrooms and teaching online.
Our teacher training program asks you to come on a life changing journey with us into yogic philosophy, to throw yourself passionately into learning sequencing and alignment and to have a whole lot of fun on the way. We promise you that if you put in the effort, we will equip you with a comprehensive set of tools so that you flourish as both an informed practitioner and creative teacher of yoga. This of course takes time, effort, and commitment.
The full Teacher Training Program comprises 10 weekends, and meets Yoga Alliance’s International requirement for certification at their 300 hour level. The course is suitable for people with at least 2 years regular yoga practice and a proven commitment to further developing their understanding of yoga beyond the asana alone.

About Amanda
Amanda has more than 35 years experience as a yoga and movement teacher. She is a guest teacher, collaborator and supervisor on several UK trainings and runs her own retreats and level 2 courses. Her teaching is informed by her complementary practices of Biodynamic CranioSacral Therapy and Compassionate Inquiry (Dr Gabor Mate) but more importantly by the local classes/students that she teaches on an ongoing basis and her creative and evolving practice. She is committed to inclusivity, anti racism and encouraging students to be both curious and compassionate on their learning journeys and to supporting development of a greater awareness of their individual gifts, challenges and unique patterns. She has studied extensively in a range of yoga and movement modalities with excellent teachers around the world. Following 20 years training as an Iyengar teacher she has since gained qualifications in Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Tibetan Yoga, Yoga for Teens, Ayurveda and Somatics and has specialised in Experiential Anatomy, Yoga Therapy For Women of all ages, Embodied Yoga (Principles and Facilitator) Healthy Backs and recovery from injury and trauma. She has explored Body Mind Centring, Continuum and Authentic Movement Practices. Her particular love at the moment is Yoga Nidra as it helps her integrate creative writing and imagery. Having first trained with Total Yoga Nidra she is currently completing an irest training and refreshing anatomy skills with Amy Matthews and Leslie Kaminoff. All practices are underpinned by her Dzogchen view and how marvellous it is to be alive as a being amongst other human and more than human beings.

The Important Stuff: Course Policies & Student Information
We want your teacher training experience to be inspiring, supportive and rewarding. We also believe in being transparent about what is expected of both our students and our teaching team. Please take a moment to read the following information before committing to the course.
Booking, Payments & Cancellations
Places on our teacher training are limited to ensure that every student receives individual attention and support. Once your application has been accepted, a deposit is required to secure your place.
Please consider carefully whether you can commit to the full training programme before enrolling. Subject to your statutory cancellation rights, all course payments are non-refundable if you decide to withdraw, including if your personal circumstances change or you are unable to attend.
Where applicable, students booking online or at a distance have a 14-day statutory cooling-off period. If you request that any training or other services begin during this period, different refund arrangements may apply.
If you need to withdraw due to serious illness or exceptional circumstances, please contact Keren as soon as possible. We will consider your situation individually and discuss whether a transfer to a future training programme or another suitable arrangement is possible. Any such arrangement is at our discretion, subject to your legal rights.
If we have to cancel the course, we will offer a full refund of any fees paid for training that has not been delivered. If a significant change to the course is necessary, we will contact you to discuss the available options.
Attendance & Certification
Teacher training is a significant commitment, both in terms of time and personal study. Students are expected to attend all scheduled training weekends, complete the required coursework, participate in practical teaching and successfully complete their assessments.
If you are unable to attend a training session, please let us know as early as possible. Any missed hours must be made up in accordance with our accreditation requirements, and additional tuition may incur a charge agreed in advance.
Payment of course fees does not guarantee certification. Students must successfully complete all required elements of the training to receive their qualification.
Health, Safety & Personal Responsibility
Your wellbeing is important to us. Yoga teacher training includes physical practice, breathing techniques, meditation and other activities that can be physically and emotionally challenging.
Students are responsible for informing the teaching team of any relevant injuries, health conditions, pregnancy or other circumstances that may affect their ability to participate safely. Please listen to your body, work within your own limits and let us know whenever you need an alternative or modification.
Participation is voluntary, and students are encouraged to make informed decisions about their own practice. We recommend seeking appropriate medical advice if you are unsure whether an activity is suitable for you.
We take reasonable steps to provide a safe and supportive learning environment. However, participation in physical activities carries inherent risks. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for negligence or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Student Conduct & Respect
Our yoga school is built around community, kindness, inclusivity and mutual respect. We ask all students to approach the training with an open mind and to respect the different backgrounds, abilities, experiences and perspectives of their fellow trainees.
Discrimination, bullying, harassment or behaviour that compromises the safety and wellbeing of others will not be tolerated. Serious or repeated breaches may result in a student being asked to leave the training, following a fair review of the circumstances.
Complaints & Grievance Procedure
We hope your training experience is a positive one, but we recognise that occasionally things may not go as expected. We welcome feedback and are committed to addressing any concerns fairly, sensitively and promptly.
Stage 1: Informal resolution
If something is troubling you, we encourage you to speak directly with Keren or another member of the teaching team. Many concerns can be resolved quickly through an open and constructive conversation.
Stage 2: Formal complaint
If you feel your concern has not been resolved, or you would prefer to make a formal complaint, please contact Keren in writing at info@yogawithkeren.com, explaining the nature of your complaint and your preferred outcome.
We will acknowledge your complaint within five working days and aim to provide a written response within 20 working days. If additional time is needed, we will explain why and provide an updated timescale.
If your complaint concerns Keren directly, you may request that another suitably independent person reviews the matter.
Stage 3: Further review
If you remain dissatisfied after receiving our formal response, you may request a further review.
All complaints will be handled as confidentially as reasonably possible, and students will not be disadvantaged for raising a genuine concern.
Our Commitment to You
We are committed to providing high-quality teaching, constructive feedback and a welcoming environment in which every student has the opportunity to develop and flourish.
These policies do not affect your statutory consumer rights.
